Research

  Are you or someone you know suffering from allergy, asthma, or sinusitis symptoms? Chances are, we are conducting a clinical trial that you may qualify for! We are currently enrolling in a wide variety of research studies and are actively seeking both children and adults to participate. If you would like to participate in respiratory research and be compensated for your time and effort, consider being a participant in a clinical trial.

The Allergy and Asthma Specialists Medical Group and Research Center is dedicated to:

· study new treatments that may benefit individuals with asthma and allergic disorders

· enable patients and their families understand their conditions better

· provide friendly, personalized medical care in a research setting

Cost

PARTICIPATION IN THE CLINICAL TRIALS IS ABSOLUTELY FREE.

All study related medications are free. All physician visits are free. All lab work is free. There are no insurance co-payments, claim forms or fees. Insurance or provider authorizations are not needed but you are encouraged to discuss any trial with your primary care provider. Participants are under the care of Dr. Weinstein for all study related procedures.

· Compensation

Subjects in all clinical trials are compensated for their time. The amount of compensation varies with each clinical trial.

· Safety

All clinical trials are designed with foremost regard to participant’s safety. Protocols are reviewed by an independent Investigational Research Committee which protects partici­pants rights and makes sure the trial is carried out properly

All study medications have been taken by other participants prior to the trials at the Research Center.

The treatments are strictly monitored by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the government agency that approves all new medications in the United States.

· Duration of Studies

Trials may last for a day, week or for months. Some trials last for over a year. Visits may occur weekly or up to every few months.

· Study visits

Visits may vary in length from less than a half hour up to a full day depending on the study. We are aware of participants busy sched­ules and offer two convenient locations and extended and weekend hours to accommo­date school age children and working adults.

· Choice

There is no obligation either to enroll or complete any study. You may withdraw at any time. Ongoing med­ical care should continue with your physician.

·

We invite all individuals of any age with asthma or allergies to participate in a number of clinical trials of new medications designed to treat asthma. We are currently accepting enrollment in a number of trials for both children and adults with asthma or allergies. All study related medications, lab work and physician visits are free.
